In this video clip television host Stew Oleson is joined by renowned author JoAnna Lund to share one of her latest recipes. This meal JoAnna prepares is a quick simple dish with a Polish flavor and can be made in the RV or at home. Ingredients: non-stick cooking spray 1 cup chopped onion 2 cups purchased/pre-packaged coleslaw mix 2 cups cooked potatoes 16 oz. reduced-fat fully-cooked kielbasa 3/4 cup water 1 teaspoon dry parsley 1/8 teaspoon pepper Directions: Spray electric skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients. Cover and simmer for approximately 15 minutes. You may also use non-cooked potatoes instead of cooked potatoes, but if you do, increase cooking time to 30 minutes, or until potatoes are soft. Read More →

In 1869 the California Gold Rush came to Julian Californiawhen a man by the name of Fred Coleman stopped at a little creek and noticed gold. Soon after the discovery hundreds of people flocked to the town and it became a rough and tumble gold mining town. The heritage of this town is celebrated by all its locals and can be experienced by visitors as well. Tourists can go on a history hunt by picking up a guide from the city’s Town Hall. The guide is a questionnaire that sends you all across the town looking for answers. Julian is also known for the great tasting apple pies and one of the best places to have a slice of that apple pie is Moms. A famous hub for apple pies, Mom’s bakes around three hundred pies a day.
