Nick Russell
Before hitting the road as a fulltime RVer in 1999, Nick Russell spent most of his adult life publishing small town newspapers in Arizona and the Pacific Northwest. Now Nick and his wife Terry travel America’s back roads visiting historic sites, small town museums, and oddball attractions, and sharing the stories of their travels in the Gypsy Journal RV Travel Newspaper.
Nick says that traveling the interstate highways are sometimes a necessity, but give him a winding stretch of two lane road anyplace in America, from the Everglades to the Southwest desert to travel on, and he’s much happier.
Nick has written several books on RVing and travel, including Meandering Down The Highway, A Year On The Road With Fulltime RVers; Work Your Way Across The USA; The Frugal RVer; and Highway History And Back Road Mystery.
Nick has presented seminars on the RV lifestyle and working on the road at RV rallies and was a Life on Wheels instructor for many years. Nick also presents seminars on self-publishing across the country.
He is also active on the internet with five websites: www.gypsyjournal.net, www.motorcycletravelonline.com, www.publishing4profit.com, www.todaysheroblog.com, and www.honoraveteran.com, as well as his widely read daily RV blog at http://gypsyjournal.net/blog/
