Having previously owned and operated a computer training center (Computer Savvy) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from 1983-1996, Chris was a certified instructor and specialized in database development with MS Access. Chris was also the president of the Int’l Computer Training Association in 1993.
Chris’s husband, Jim, was the network administrator for Computer Savvy as well as a Microsoft Certified instructor. Later he was a network administrator for an Internet Service Provider and a construction firm while Chris was an independent consultant for database projects.
In 2003 Chris and Jim sold their house and took to the road in their motorhome. Then in 2004-2005 Jim worked as a contractor with Coach Connect providing Wi-Fi technical support to RV parks across the country.
Their current business, Geeks on Tour began in 2006. Chris currently builds the website, including the video tutorials.
They now travel around the country giving seminars at Rallies and RV parks, and offer a variety of computer services. Their seminars include, ‘High Speed Internet for RVers’, ‘Every RVer Needs a Blog’, ‘Managing Digital Photos with Picasa’, ‘Practice Safe Computing’, and more. Chris has also been keeping a personal travel blog since they started their adventure.
