Greetings from Louisville, Kentucky! Wednesday, Dec. 1.  Today was a very busy day at the RVIA Expo here as we prowled the aisles of the show for about 8 hours, looking at an amazing array of RVs and RV accessories.  Yesterday I posted some photos of a recent innovation from Monaco using a telescoping slide to provide a wider floorplan on their motorhomes.  Today I took a photo of the outside of the slide which I think, shows the operation of the slide a little more clearly.

The slide depth totals 50 inches, consisting of a 32″ main slide and an 18″ second section.  When coupled with an 18″ slide on the curb side, the total slide width measures 68″, which I believe is the widest in the industry.

Moving on, an earlier comment requested information on the new Airstream Eddie Bauer edition.  Following are a few photos of this RV, along with a photo of the floorplan as well.

This is a view from inside, looking out through the rear hatch.

This photo is from outside, rear, showing the rear hatch and dining table.

This photo shows the rear, pull down screen for the rear hatch.

Hopefully this helps those who are interested in this RV.  Tomorrow we will be back at work, gathering information for future posts, including a battery operated air conditioner, a Chinese RV expo, a battery powered class A motorhome and several other interesting items.  Stay tuned.

Larry, have you seen Winnebagos and are they going to offer “Aqua Hot” in the Journey, perchance? That would clinch the deal for me. Thanks for being there and sharing all you see and hear. Please advise.

Richard Medlock, only the Tour will have the option of an Aqua Hot. Personally, I am not a big fan of the Aqua Hot, so it wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me to be without it, but then I don’t like the Winnie “motor aid” system either.

Larry, thanks for taking us all to the RV show! I saw the Monaco Diplomat and its telescoping slide at the Fall Detroit RV Show and also was very much impressed at the interior space it provided. Here’s a link to my video about it. http://bit.ly/dLsAfi
