Nomads Notes Comprehensive Travel Diary Software
OK – you are almost ready to hit the road. You have been planning your trip of a lifetime for months (or even years) now. For some you have a planned route with day by day stops pinpointed and booked, for others you just have a general direction of travel planned. You have purchased or built the motorhome, caravan or trailer of your dreams. You have retired, taken long service leave or just given up the job to fulfill your dreams
When you get home again you will have some great memories and lot of photos. But what about the rest of the memories – where was that great campsite I found, how much did I really pay for fuel, what is the phone number or email address of those great friends we met along the way, or how much did the trip cost me. There is a great new tool for recording all the details of your trip.
Nomads Notes allows the traveler to record all aspects of a trip. Features include a day-by-day journal for chronicling daily activities; track multiple vehicle mileage, fuel consumption and fuel cost, nightly campsite details, locations and costs etc, as well as a photo album to record pictures taken, and a contacts list to record details of the friends you meet along the way. Other features include all expenses that you can categorize yourself, vehicle maintenance and radio and TV stations.
No need to worry about complicated formulas to work out your fuel economy or your expenses. Nomads Notes does it all for you.
Even if you want to use some parts of the program and record only your fuel economy, expenses and campsite information, you do not have to use the rest. It is up to you which aspects of the program you use.
Here is some examples of screen shots from the program:
Choose between imperial or metric measures. If you live in a metric country but still think in the old “miles per gallon” you can choose metric, and see imperial data for comparison.

Trip Diary – Records each trip separately. A trip can be from a one night quick trip away to a lifetime on the road.

Photo Album – Photos can be arranged in separate albums for all parts of the trip. Each photo can have a separate title and description. Photo album has search capabilities by date or location.

Campsite Journal – Records all aspects of your campsites including, location, type of camp, cost, features, pet details and GPS points.

Accommodation Summary of the types and costs of campsites you have been utilizing.

Fuel Consumption – Records all details of fuel purchases including number of liters or gallons, cost per unit and place of purchase to see average cost per vehicle, total cost per vehicle, average volume by purchase or vehicle and total volume per vehicle. All charts shown in metric and/or imperial.

Expenses – Record all your trip expenses divided into categories of your choosing eg food, house etc.

Contacts – Records all aspects of contact details for the people you meet. No longer having to remember what their email address, phone number or website address is, you have it all recorded. And was the daughter’s name Jessica or Janine – you’ll have all the details.

Vehicle details and maintenance records – Can record details of multiple vehicles, for example your motorhome and your towed vehicle or motorbike. Keep a record of vehicle maintenance including parts and labor and also insurance policy details and oil types and capacity for gearbox and engines for when you need to do servicing on the road.

Export – Exports all aspects of the trip and the reports into html to upload to your website or pdf format for you to share with family and friends
The software runs on any windows platform. You can download it direct to your computer – no waiting for the postman to arrive. After sales support is offered by email, and a 100% money back guarantee applies. See website for details. You can pay by credit card or PayPal.
Nomads Notes is practical, complete travel diary that provides organization without effort, makes the trip easier and provides the information in a concise format to share with family and friends that will be used as a reference for years to come.

I have a Mac. Will this program work with my Mac. I have been looking for something like this for a long time, I was glad to see this, but it did say windows.
How do I sign up to post a blog on my trips? Your web site is not clear on that.
Use the built in spreadsheet in your computer os to make your own, it’s cheaper and you can build it to your specs.
With all the different data it wanted entered it sort of took the fun out the trips. Besides with todays modern tow vehicles and motor homes – getting things like trip milage and MPG are already built in, along with many other user friendly items. I do keep a hand written journal keeping track of park fees, etc. (it spends it’s life on the dashboard). We take hundreds of photos on trips with our digital cameras and edit them along with adding notes from our journal in the off season. It brings the trips back to life and allows us to remember many happy moments again. We have been doing this for several years and often look back in the hand written journals and at the hard copies of photos we have twenty or more years ago. We have computerized our photos and scanned in some of the old ones, it is very easy and cost nothing as the software comes free with any good digital camera.
Can we find out when it will be available for Mac Users. Or is it Mac Ready now?

I would like to try the program out to see if it is everything people say it is. This would be great to keep track of milage, park fees and ect.
