VIDEO: Extreme RV Racing!
We’ve all debated the merits of different types of RV. We’ve all made our own personal buying decisions, based on a variety of factors. The usual factors are cost, living space, intended usage, and so forth. But what about how it handles on a race track?
EXTREME RV RACING – PART 1
Consider the merits of the motorhome vis-a-vis a variety of towables. Of course, the great appeal of a motor home is the fact that it’s self-propelled. Although I’m a fan of towables, I must concede that there are some things you can do with a motor home that are impossible with towable RVs. Take extreme racing, for example.
EXTREME RV RACING – PART 2
The standout British show Top Gear put together this stunning concept in automotive racing. Will this new sport catch on? Considering the carnage at the end of the race, probably not. But it sure was fun to watch.

Looks more like destruction derby!
The walls of the RV are built around the cabinetry. By removing the cabinets, all that holds the walls together are glue, staples and a few screws. I would like to see someone race an old monaco Dynasty or foretravel Diesel pusher. they are equiped with 8 shock absorbers and 8 outboard airbags on the chassis offering many the stability of a stick and tin camber on a van or truck chassis. The structure is similar to a bas with the tubular steel semi-monocoque cage construction of the body. They are like an amored personel carrier with a laminated fiberglass skin instead of metal armor. The engine has more than twice the torque of a gas engine to boot.
