Hey dont forget about the Fabulous Dayton, Ohio RV Supershow held on the Dayton Intl Airport Property on January 16,17& 18. Its a show that has something for everyone.

Hi, My wife and I will be going to the Tampa show in January and we had seen a 5th Wheel (Titanium). We really liked what we have seen of them but can’t get any information on them. Does anyone out there know anything, good or bad about them. Would appreciate an email.

The RV shows are fun, I look forward to going not only for the RV stuff for sale but meeting with RVer’s and talk to them about their experiences. I been also looking for a new Motorhome to buy but seem to be having trouble finding the right one. Plan to run my business out of it so there are many other thing to think about. My tax guy says I probably cannot write off the use since the motor home is not a requirement to run the business. Maybe just the interest. Anyway hope to see you on the road some day.

geez ,you guy’ s and girls did not mention the Quartzsite rv show jan 17th to29th
which is free, and in the area alot of rvs for sale,
the tent is 300 yards long and 75 yards wide,

The shows that are featured here are not put on by dealers, rather Affinity Group Inc, the company that owns Motorhome Magazine, Trailer Life, Good Sam Club and just about anything written about RVs. They are trying to add value to these shows by conducting seminars at several locations. I personally conduct an RV Buyer’s Seminar at the Denver, Minneapolis, and Pomona shows which as well as a new feature, the RV Handyman seminars designed to cover battery maintenance and troubleshooting, information on the analog to digital conversion coming in Feb, generator maintenance, and much more. If you have the opportunity to stop by one of these shows, I assure you it’s worth the price of admission.

It’s a lot cheaper to pay the cover charge than drive many of miles looking at different products. It don’t take long to burn up 10-$15.00 of gas
It also warmer this time of year.

I totally agree with Mr. Shelton, I hate to be charged a fee to look at their products that they want me to buy. Whatever the dealer pays to enter the show is a tax write-off for them as a business expense.

I don’t mind paying a small fee to see all the models and gizmo’s in one place. Think about how much it would cost you in gas and time to travel around and see as much as you see in a show

RV shows are interesting, entertaining and quite informative ……..BUT!!! RV shows are primarily sales extravaganza’s put on by dealers who, in turn charge you, the show goer, to shop their product. While I do like the idea of shopping numerous retailers’ products from a central location, I do not think I should be charged $12 to $20 and beyond to shop these products. An RV show is a sales event and the cost of the event should be borne by the retailers selling their wares. I used to go to RV shows and grumble and complain when they charged $1 and $2 gate fee. When this fee went to $10 and $12, I quit going to them, not because I couldn’t pay the fee; but because I felt like I was being charged a “cover charge” or a “door fee” to enter the retailers showroom. ‘I just ain’t gonna pay no such fee!!!!!’

Who else feels like I do about this ever increasing fee to go to the store whether they have anything you want to buy or not?

Don’t forget the “Super show”, in Tampa on 1/14/09. I’m tryin’ to talk my wife into hangin’ around Tampa for the show, and put off the winter trip to Key West for a week. Wish me luck !!
