Map your Driveway Invitations
You sure meet a lot of nice people on the road. At RV parks, and especially at the rallies, we meet people all the time who say, “If you’re ever traveling thru my neck o’ the woods, stop by. We have a big driveway and a 30amp hookup!” Our answer is, “Be careful when you say that, because we’ll actually do it!” We love visiting people by staying in their driveway. Here we are at a good friend’s in Florida:

How do we remember where these places are? We put them on a custom Google Map. Watch the video below to see how to make one yourself.

see you in Palm Creek soon
Myron,
Nice to hear from you. As it turns out, we’re spending the winter in Florida this year – not Palm Creek. Maybe next year.
Have fun!
About your driveway camping-if you have a 30 amp hookup for your RV how do you keep track of the kw’s that you use? Do you have a meter hook up or is their a divice you can buy to keep track of the kw’s?
I’m in a driveway now with a 30amp plug and no meter!
Any help?
Thanks-Curt
Curt, when we’re driveway camping it’s at friends or family for a short time. We might buy them dinner sometime, but we don’t compensate them for electricity usage. Is that why you want a meter? Or is there something else?
We do have a Digital Voltage Meter to tell us when we aren’t getting enough power to run whatever we’re running.
Or check out the products at http://www.powermeterstore.com … you may find something.
