Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the info about Sam's and Terribles. We've been to Sam's Town LV, but never to Terribles in Osceola Iowa. Maybe on our trip through the Midwest this fall we'll stop in. By the way, I understand they don't take reservations, and they fill up sometimes on weekends.

Just started looking at this site for the first time and saw your post about casino camping. We have stayed at Sams Town in Las Vegas which was a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. One out-of-the-way casino campground we have found and stay in every year is in Osceola, Iowa. It is called Terrible's Lakeside Casino. When we first started staying there, it cost $10/night for FULL hookups. It is not a "beautiful" campground or resort type, but there are plenty of sites and they are all full hookup. In the last 2 years however, they are charging $20/night and give you $10 back in free play. You can only pay in cash or check, no credit cards. The casino also has a wonderful buffet and on Fri. and Sat. night it is a seafood buffet with crab legs and they are delicious! It is also very reasonably priced. Osceola is located right off I-35 just north of the Iowa/Missouri border. If you're in that area, give it a try!
