Go for it, the class A coach.. Get one big enough, make sure it is diesel, and make sure it has the"panaramic" windshield. Life is great when you have all of the above.

When my husband died he left me with a 6 mo old Ford dulley and a huge 5th wheel. I knew if I tried to drive them I would knock down every mailbox along the route. Long story short-put the 5th wheel out on consignment and traded the truck in on a 28 foot Class A at Lazy Days in Tampa, FL. Now all the mailboxes are safe as the dog and I hum down the road! Great fun to drive and fun to meet new people and places. Keep on keeping on!

NOW is the time to buy and buy BIG! The money you will save right now will more than pay for additional fuel costs and quite possibly save you enough to get that tow vehicle if you don't already have a car you can tow. Class -A IS the Way to see it ALL today and the next and the next................GO FOR IT!

You wont be happy towing a regular trailer after a 5th wheel.
You will be extatic if you go into a class A motorhome, something like a Dutch Star, which can be picked up very reasonable now due to the fuel costs, also a small tow vehicle is cheaper to operate when rig parked.
Enjoy the good life

There is no "should you go this route" - make the turn and take it. You may still need a tow vehicle if you want to go see places once you are in a RV Park, but if you have been a 5th wheeler, step up to the cab of a class A and see the country side as you drive like you never saw it before.

OK, that is what you do if money is no object. However, keep in mind that whatever you paid for that 8314SS, as soon as the wheels hit the street you lost 35-40% of the value. If you took out a loan, I doubt that Camping World will pay you more than the amount of your loan. If you paid cash, then you can kiss 35-40% of that money good bye. The bottom line is to look long term - very long term. If you intend on RVing for the next 10+ years then the loss you take today will be made up over time with the enjoyment of having a class A. If this is just something to do for the next couple of years keep what you have.

Good luck,

It's only money and you can't take it with you, but on the other hand one of you just might leave the farm before the other and could leave a huge debt for someone to pay off with limited income. But if that is not a problem either then I say go for it!
